History
Taken From OKCGC’s Website: This cemetery was listed in the book Haunted Places by Dennis Hauck. Sometime in the 1936, Robina Smith was killed in a car accident with a milk creamery truck. Her father George, a strong Christian, was worried about Robina’s salvation. Late at night, as you stand near the grave, it is said you can hear George’s voice saying ‘my god Robina has not been saved.’

Investigation
C.O.P.S. team members present: Tony, Russell, Trey
P.R.O.S. team members present: Ron
OKCGC team members present: Logan

C.O.P.S. was asked to investigate Arapaho Cemetery from Logan with OKCGC. Having never been, C.O.P.S. was delighted to head out and see what all could be captured from this well-known little cemetery.

The night was cool but not cold, and there was little wind about. This was perfect condition for EVP recording. Everyone arrived and gathered equipment from the vehicles as Logan was explaining what personal experiences he has had at this location. He told everyone that on a previous trip, the car would not start and started moving on it’s own. Everyone also listened to the story of the dog chasing the car to the main road, keeping up at 60 MPH. More information can be found about the cemetery here.

After all the equipment was ready to go, the team set out to find Robina’s grave. Heading there, several team members reported seeing shadows duck in and out behind the trees and bushes. Once Robina’s grave was found, EMF and IR readings were taken, but no fluctuations were recorded. At this point the Sony recorder was placed on the head stone while Tony asked typical EVP questions. Later after listening to the tape, nothing paranormal was recorded.

The team moved around the cemetery looking for anything out of the ordinary. Several shadows were seen and Ron explained when he saw a pair of glowing eyes coming from one of the bushes on a previous visit. No such eyes, however, were seen on this investigation. Several more EVP sessions were conducted with a possible response from a knock test. But because of the size of the cemetery and the different surfaces located in it, it was difficult to locate the sound the team heard. On possible explanation for it could have been an oil well pumping off in the distance. Also a light was seen by several team members and was thought to be paranormal, but turned out to be a light flashing from a far off radio tower.

No evidence was collected on the digital voice recorder, but C.O.P.S. plans a return trip when the weather warms up.
