Pre-Investigation Interview and Walk-Through
Team Members Present: Tony and John
On August 8th, 2007, Tony and John met with Maj. Michael Gonzales (Retired) to get the reports of paranomral activity, and to see the layout of the facility for planning the investigation. Tony and John talked with Maj. Gonzales for approximately two hours and heard about the suspected paranormal activity listed above. A walk through of the facility was conducted, several photographs were taken for points of reference , and a coply of the floor plan was obtained from the Major. Conversations were also conducted with the mechanic for the museum to correlate the Majors claims.

Pre-Investigation Interview and Walk-Through
Team Members Present: Tony, Russell and John
While working out the itenerary for the investigation, it was decided that the team would once again need to make more ovservations of the facility and additional interviews with current employees. The team arrived at the museum near closing time in order to have as few people present as possible. During our second walk-through of the facility the team met with a museum employee who has been with the 45th for over twenty years and we were able to discuss the reports of paranormal activitiy with him. This gentleman covered the claims point by point and stated that most of the reports were explainable by natural means. His opinions of the paranormal claims are as follows:

(1) The pencils and pens had been arrnged in geometric shapes by himself, aimed at being a long running practical joke on the Major.

(2 & 3) The apparent voices and cold spots could be explained by naturally occuring drafts coming from the air conditioning system due to poor insulation of the building.

(4) The water stain on the carpet was from a large potted plant that had once stood on the carpet and to his knowledge there had never been a fountain anywhere near that location.

(5) The sounds of footsteps and furniture being moved around was natural due to the facility being constructed primarily out of wood which expands and contracts with temperature changes.

(6) The sound of toilets flusing was caused by the condensation drainage from the air conditioning system as well as the flushing of the fire suppression system.

(7) The items being moved around the facility could be explained by normal use of the items and any objects removed were possible because the doors containing said items are not usually locked.

(8) The appartition could be mistaken from a reflection on the many display cabinets that are placed throughout the facility.

(9) The chairs being moved and stacked was not readily explainable by this employee.

Tony, Russell and John noted this employee's comments and looked around to see if these explanations were valid. The employees appear to be jovial and of good nature which would initially lend credibility to the "Practical Joke" or "Prank" theory.

Due to the team's respect for and reverence to the museum and its inventory, the claims of paranormal acitvity, or lack of, ill not be taken purely on heresay. Claims of this nature must warrant an investigation prior to any conclusion.

Investigation - Friday, August 17th, 2007
Team Members Present: Tony, Russell, John, Conrad, Mike, Stephanie, Jason
On August 17, 2007, the Central Oklahoma Paranormal Studies team arrived on site at approximately 21:00. At this time, Tony, Russell and John set up equipment and the remainder of the team took a brief tour of the Museum, led by Major Michael Gonzales (Ret.). Directly following the tour, the team split into two teams and our investigation began promptly at 22:35.

HOUR 1 - 22:35 – 23:35
Team One
During the first hour of the investigation, Team One, which consisted of Russell, Conrad and Mike, took position in the northwest wing, rooms 11 through 17. Beginning in the chapel, Team One conducted an IRC (Interactive Response Communication) session. During this IRC session, both Conrad and Russell reported experiencing a dizzy feeling. At 22:46, Team One conducted a knock test; however, no successful response was noticed. Twice, the team heard what sounded like light “clicks” in the hallway west of the chapel. These two noises were not deemed paranormal.

In the Artillery Room, at 22:51, the team recorded an EMF spike of 5 m.g. directly in front of the row of flags. A few minutes later, 23:03, the team recorded yet another EMF spike. This second time, the spike was recorded in the middle of the Artillery Room.

Time Entered: 22:35
Time Departed: 23:35
Beginning Temperature: 64 degrees
Ending Temperature: 65 degrees
E.M.F. Spikes: 1

Team Two
Team Two consisted of Tony, John, Stephanie and Jason; they began their first hour in the second floor east wing. Team Two ran an IRC session as well and recorded various noises consisting of “taps” and “clicks.” Multiple knock tests were performed with no substantial responses recorded. An EMF spike was noticed soon after arriving in the far northeast corner of this wing, but the source was traced to a desk drawer.

At approximately 23:20, Stephanie had held out her hand asking a spirit to touch her hand. Stephanie reports that after made this request, there was indeed contact made on the palm of her hand the infrared thermometer was able to verify a drastic temperature difference from the upper part of her palm, 85 degrees, to the center of her palm, 69 degrees; a difference of 16 degrees.

Time Entered: 22:35
Time Departed: 23:35
Beginning Temperature: 70 degrees
Ending Temperature: 72 degrees
E.M.F. Spikes: 1 (Non Anomalous)

HOUR 2 - 23:55 – 00:55
Team One
Team One moved to the Artifacts Room for their second hour. Instead of normal IRC’s, the team decided to try “Conversational IRC’s.” This method involves having the individuals present carry on a conversation with topics relevant to the location in hopes of causing a piqued interest in any entity that may be listening. Unfortunately, there were no anomalous noises and/or sounds recorded during this hour.

EMF readings were recorded frequently in the Artifacts Room; however, the EMF spikes occurred to often and became predictable with a constant source located, thus ruling out any EMF activations as anomalous.

Time Entered: 23:53
Time Departed: 00:53
Beginning Temperature: 68 degrees
Ending Temperature: 69 degrees
E.M.F. Spikes: Multiple (Non Anomalous)

Team Two
During the second hour, Team Two set up in room seven, directly south of the Curators’ office. John led the IRC questions and as he progressed, approximately at 00:00, Jason reported experiencing a very heavy feeling, almost as if someone very heavy was sitting on his lap. The team noted no visual or sound anomalies while they were in this room.

At 00:22, the team shifted positions and spread out along the hallway that leads to the Curator’s office. In efforts to listen more than speaking, the team began by doing a sit-down. A “sit-down” is a technique requiring team members to literally sit down and remain quiet. This offers those who participate a chance to tune in to their senses of sight and hearing. Three minutes into the sit-down, at 00:25, Tony and Stephanie both heard a single footstep behind them, on the east side of the hallway. Again, at 00:43, Tony and Stephanie heard a very similar foot step type noise in the hallway.

No other anomalies recorded in the hallway.
Time Entered: 23:53
Time Departed: 00:53
Beginning Temperature: 68 degrees
Ending Temperature: 70 degrees
E.M.F. Spikes: 0

HOUR 3 - 01:15 – 02:25
Team One
For the third of the investigation, Team One moved to the upper east wing and conducted IRC’s and knock tests. The knock tests were inconclusive and the team reported no activity whatsoever in this location during this hour.

Time Entered: 01:15
Time Departed: 02:15
Beginning Temperature: 64 degrees
Ending Temperature: 68 degrees
E.M.F. Spikes 0

Team Two
Rooms 18 and 19 were the area of interest during the third hour for Team Two. The team spent the first thirty minutes in room 18, perusing the Reeves/Mauldin collection and utilizing the “conversational IRC” technique. The team did not observe, record or experience any anomalies in this room.

For the remainder of the hour, the team moved into room 19. Taking position in the middle of the vehicle display, just to the northeast of the suspended plane, the team returned to more traditional IRC questioning. At 01:55, Tony and Stephanie reported hearing a metallic noise at the same time that Jason reported seeing a shadow move 180 degrees around the area where the team had set up.

Time Entered: 01:15
Time Departed: 02:15
Beginning Temperature: 65 degrees
Ending Temperature: 66 degrees
E.M.F. Spikes: 0

HOUR 4 - 02:45 – 03:45
Team One
For the fourth and final hour of the investigation, Team One took charge of the south central section of the Museum. The team progressed through rooms nine, ten, eighteen and nineteen conducting IRC’s, knock tests and even a temperature response test. All of these tests and questions yielded no experience for the team nor did the team note any anomaly during this last hour.

Time Entered: 02:42
Time Departed: 03:42
Beginning Temperature: 62 degrees
Ending Temperature: 65 degrees
E.M.F. Spikes 0

Team Two
Team Two spent the finishing hour in the upstairs Artifacts Room. Five minutes after the team entered the room, at 02:47 Stephanie noted a temperature anomaly; the teams IR thermometer recorded a sudden temperature change from 67 degrees to 58 degrees.

Just as Team One experienced repeated and predictable EMF activations in the Artifacts room during hour two, Team Two encountered the same EMF fluctuations in the exact same area during their stay. Team two rigorously attempted to find an explanation and source and were able to draw the same conclusions as Team One.

At approximately 03:16, the IR thermometer noted another similar drop in temperature from 66 degrees to 59 degrees. The two separate temperature anomalies were untraceable and the team could not find a source for them.

The team also conducted IRC questioning and noted a few small noises, however said noises were deemed to be normal and not of anomalous nature.
