Investigation - September 7th, 2007

C.O.P.S. Team Members Present: Tony, Russell, John, Conrad, Joe

The team arrived at the residence at approximately 21:15 hours. After speaking with the homeowners and setting up our equipment those present split into two teams for the night. The first team consisted of Russ, John and one of the homeowners. The second team was comprised of Tony, Conrad, Joe and one of the other homeowners. Our investigation began at approximately 23:00 hours and ran for three and half hours. The teams worked on an hourly rotation schedule between the two homes on the property.

Hour 1

23:00 hours - 00:00 hours

Team One

Russ and John began their first hour inside the main home on the property and covered each room in the hour. During their investigation Russell, John and the homeowner experienced distinctive olfactory manifestations in the form of burning match-heads, or sulfur, and the overwhelming smell of urine. After consulting with the homeowner post-investigation, Russell and John discovered two interesting facts: one, neither of these two smells are "normal" to the home and two, the homeowners father passed time by repeatedly striking match-heads. The homeowner also revealed that her father, prior to his passing, had enjoyed the burning sulfur smell associated with a recently struck match-head. For the remaining hour of the investigation, the team did experience a few knocks and taps of note, however they were unable to find the source of these noises, however, that does not lend itself towards the paranormal whatsoever.

Team Two

Tony, Conrad, Joe and our second homeowner took position in the second home on the property, the property that once served as a laundry-mat. Beginning with fifteen minutes of a quiet sit down, the team experienced nothing of note. After the initial fifteen minutes, Conrad began asking IRC questions. Conrad's line of questioning lasted for approximately fifteen minutes and Joe picked up where Conrad left off. Joe's IRC's spanned for fifteen minutes as well and Tony completed the hour with a fifteen minute session of his own. During the entire hour neither Tony, Conrad nor Joe experienced or witnessed anything--however the homeowner present with the team reported having her hair tugged three time and her knee touched once during the hour.

Hour 2

00:15 hours - 01:15 hours

Team One

Following the rotation schedule in place for this investigation, Russell, led his team into the second home on the property and spent forty minutes conducting standard IRC's. The remaining twenty minutes were spent utilizing a technique we call conversational IRC's. At the time, no activity of any sort was reported by Russell, John, or the homeowner.

Team Two

Tony, Conrad, Joe and one of the homeowners spent the entire second hour in the back bedroom of the home, a bedroom that the homeowners have reported experiencing a barrage of paranormal activity, including an immense amount of kinetic activity. This room is referred to by the homeowners as "The Locked Room." This bedroom was named this due to the fact that the homeowners have removed all necessary items from this room, locked it and only go into it when absolutely necessary. The team began with general IRC's aimed at gathering information about what, if anything, was inhabiting this household. The team experienced multiple sounds but attributed most, if not all, to the normal sounds of the house settling.

Hour 3

01:30 hours - 02:30 hours

Team One

The teams changed members and Russ led Conrad and one of the homeonwers into the main home, specifically into the "Locked Room." The team spent twenty minutes in the "Locked Room" and then they moved into living room of the home and continued IRC's. Russ attempted an experiment involving the IR thermometer and asked for the alleged entities to lower the temperature to a specific number. No results from this experiment were noted. Near the the end of their hour inside the home, team one heard a loud noise from the very front part of the home. The team immediatley investigated and found no apparent source for the cause, or result, of the noise.

Team Two

During the third hour, Tony, John and Joe ventured back into the studio-style home and spent the entire hour conducting conversational IRC's. The hour seemed to yield some interesting light and sound anomalies, however, none of these anomalies were recorded on any of our audio recorders or video cameras.

Hour 4

02:30 hours - 03:30 hours
For the final hour, the team gathered in the main home and conducted one final sit down. Through the hour, the team conducted several standard IRC's, knock tests and conversation IRC's. During the sit down, Tony and Joe both heard a growl from the enterance of the "Locked Room." Nothing else of note happened during the sit down.

Conclusion

This investigation produced some very interesting personal experiences for the homeowners and C.O.P.S. members alike. The team did capture a few EVP's from the residence and those correlated with some personal experiences. Also, we did document three olfactory manisfestations at various times in the home. We would like to thank the homeowners for allowing us to investigate and we hope that we were able to provide some sort of validation and peace of mind for these homeowners.
